Job description

What youll do

  • Drive new business growth through outbound prospecting, referrals, networking, and lead follow-up
  • Quote, present, and close coverage across:
  • Commercial lines (small business, liability, commercial auto, workers compwhere available)
  • Farm & Ranch (farm property, liability, equipment/outbuildings, livestockwhere available)
  • Supplemental health products (as applicable)
  • Personal lines as needed to round out accounts (auto/home/umbrella)
  • Conduct needs-based discovery conversations and present tailored solutions
  • Maintain a pipeline and follow-up cadence; document activity in agency systems/CRM
  • Coordinate with underwriting/carriers to submit complete applications and move business to bind
  • Meet monthly activity and production goals (calls, appointments, quotes, issued policies)

Responsibilities
  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with potential and existing clients, understanding their insurance needs and providing appropriate solutions.
  • Plan Customization: Develop personalized insurance plans that cater to the unique circumstances and requirements of each client.
  • Sales Strategy: Identify opportunities for cross-selling to enhance client portfolios and provide comprehensive coverage.
  • Client Retention: Ensure client satisfaction through consistent follow-up, addressing any concerns or changes in their insurance needs.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay informed on the latest trends and changes in the insurance industry to offer updated and accurate advice.

Requirements
  • Licensing: Active Wisconsin and/or Minnesota/Iowa/Michigan Property & Casualty or Life License is strongly preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in insurance sales or a related customer service field is highly desirable.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Customer-focused: Strong aptitude for understanding and meeting client needs and preferences.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in using CRM software and other digital communication tools is advantageous.
