Compensation:ย The salary range for this position is estimated to be $60,265.00 - $125,909.00 annualized, which reflects the company's current estimate of the potential compensation range at the time of posting. This salary range reflects the anticipated compensation for this position and represents one component of the total rewards package. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, education, qualifications, and allotted budget. The organization offers a comprehensive benefits program as part of its overall compensation strategy, and salary ranges are reviewed periodically to remain aligned with market conditions.

About Our Opportunity

The Credit Officer Retail Credit Underwriting serves the Association's Retail Agriculture (Retail Ag) initiative. They are primarily responsible for approving and recommending credit actions, analyzing loan applications, and working with Retail Ag representatives to meet the financial needs of our customers.

This role contributes independently to routine and recurring work with growing confidence and consistency. It applies established procedures, manages assigned responsibilities effectively, and collaborates with others to support business outcomes. Team members at this level are expanding functional knowledge, strengthening judgment, and developing problem-solving skills within defined parameters.

How You Will Spend Your Time
  • Partners with sales staff and customers to understand financial goals, credit strengths and risks, and deliver value added, consultative lending solutions aligned with the Association's objectives and risk profile.
  • Analyzes, approves, and recommends loan decisions with timely turnaround, exercising delegated authority and providing clear rationale on loan structure, terms, and conditions.
  • Ensures strong credit quality and risk management through ongoing credit analysis, trend identification, and sound credit administration practices.
  • Maintains and applies subject matter expertise in agriculture, credit, finance, technology, and government lending programs to support effective credit decisions.
  • Serves as a credit resource by, facilitating cross training sessions, and communicating credit concepts effectively to both internal teams and broader audiences.
  • Completes routine assignments independently using established procedures and sound judgment.
  • Applies working knowledge to resolve common issues and identifies when to seek guidance.
  • Communicates clearly with teammates and internal partners to support coordinated work.
  • Organizes workload to meet deadlines and deliver consistent, reliable outcomes.
  • Contributes ideas that strengthen processes, accuracy, and effectiveness.
  • Uses available tools and resources to resolve straightforward issues and improve confidence.
Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma/GED with 5 years relevant experience required.
  • Bachelor's Degree with 1 year relevant experience preferred.ย
