Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Robotic Welding Technician to support the production of precision aerospace and defense components in a high-reliability manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience operating and troubleshooting robotic welding cells, assisting with FANUC robot programming, and working with advanced welding systems such as Fronius and Miller Electric. Experience with aerospace welding applications is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate, set up, troubleshoot, and maintain robotic welding cells.

  • Assist with programming and optimizing FANUC robotic welding programs.

  • Operate Fronius and Miller Electric welding systems.

  • Read technical drawings, weld symbols, and specifications.

  • Perform fit-up inspections and in-process quality checks.

  • Troubleshoot torch alignment, wire feed, welding parameters, and robot faults.

  • Support new product introductions, fixture validation, and process development.

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams.

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in robotic welding or automated manufacturing.

  • Hands-on experience with FANUC robotic systems.

  • Experience with Fronius and/or Miller Electric welding equipment.

  • Strong knowledge of MIG/GMAW welding, fixturing, and weld sequencing.

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, weld symbols, and GD&T.

  • Experience with aluminum, steel, and stainless steel.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Education & Certifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Technical training or certification in Welding, Robotics, or Manufacturing Technology preferred.

  • American Welding Society certifications and/or FANUC robotics certifications are a plus.
