ChildNet Youth and Family Health Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our esteemed team. • Conduct thorough intake assessments for new clients to identify their specific behavioral health needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored to client requirements.
• Regularly document client progress through detailed progress notes, discharge summaries, and treatment updates, ensuring all records are up to date and comply with regulatory standards.
• Engage in program coordination and management to enhance the effectiveness of the Behavioral Health Department's services.
• Collaborate with community resources to establish preventive mental health services, aiming to reduce barriers to care and promote overall mental well-being.
• Participate in team meetings and interdisciplinary case reviews to share insights and improve service delivery.

You will be serving a diverse population, including children, adolescents, and families facing a range of challenges such as mental health disorders, trauma, homelessness, and addiction issues. Understanding the complexities of these circumstances is crucial for creating effective, evidence-based interventions that lead to positive patient outcomes.

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Possession of active LPCC, LCSW, or LMFT licensure, with a commitment to staying current with all professional requirements and supervision guidelines.
• At least two (2) years of experience in providing crisis management and mental health services in a clinical setting.
• A deep understanding of addiction issues and how they intertwine with psychotherapy practices.
• Familiarity with various co-occurring disorders, including trauma and PTSD, qualities that enhance your therapeutic efficacy.
• Strong professionalism in interactions with clients and colleagues, demonstrating respect and empathy.

• Experience working in community health settings, particularly those focusing on child and family mental health.
• Demonstrated skills in program development and coordination for mental health initiatives.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms for effective client management.

The annual salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $130,000.
