Position at The Giving Tree
The Giving Tree in Queen Village is a licensed childcare center seeking an Assistant Director! This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, energetic leader in training who is passionate about early childhood education.
To be QUALIFIED for this position,
*Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or human services + 1 year of child care experience.
OR
*Bachelor's degree with 30+ credit hours in the above fields + 2 years of child care experience.
OR
*Associate's degree in the above fields + 3 years of child care experience.
OR
*Associate's degree with 30+ credit hours in the above fields + 4 years of child care experience
Required Shift: Monday - Friday, ability to open or close when needed
Compensation: $22-23 per hour, based on education and experience

Our Hiring Process:

  2. Phone screen with recruiter (30 minutes)
  3. On-site interview with Center Director (60 minutes)
  4. Virtual Interview with Regional Director (45-60 minutes)

Main Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Director with developing and executing an on-going program of activities that contribute to the care, growth and development of the children and staff.
  • Assist the Director with enrollment activities, including tours, distribution of marketing materials to potential families.
  • Assist the Director with ensuring all State and Company Regulations are always being followed using Licensing Checks.
  • Provide guidance to teachers for creative curriculum, lesson plans, and classroom organization.
  • Establish professional and supportive relationships with parents and employees connected to the operation of the center.
  • Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running and climbing stairs.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
