About Our Family

We are a busy, high-functioning family of three based in Alexandria, Virginia. Both parents have demanding careers that require frequent business travel, often with overlapping schedules that require a high degree of coordination. Despite full calendars and packed schedules, we have built a warm, active home life centered around our daughter, our corgi, and a few fish who round out the crew. We care deeply about the people who work with us and believe strongly in treating employees with respect, investing in their wellbeing, and supporting them for the long haul.

Our home is warm, welcoming, and filled with the energy of everyday life. We have different styles when it comes to order and tidiness, and we have spent years finding our middle ground. What we share is a genuine desire for a home that feels calm, welcoming, and restorative at the end of a long day. We are ready to add a consistent, trusted household manager who can become part of our rhythm, someone who knows our systems, understands our preferences, and helps us come home to a space that feels like a soft landing.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

You are the kind of person who walks into a space and immediately sees what needs to happen. You are visibly organized and put-together, and you bring a project manager's mindset to everything you do: you intake, plan, execute, and report back without being asked twice. You are outcome-oriented and efficient, but you also know when to pause and check in, because you understand that how something gets done matters just as much as the end result. You thrive in a self-directed environment and can read the room, adapting your approach depending on who you are working with or what the household needs that day.

You are warm, collaborative, and genuinely enjoy being part of a family's daily life. You are especially kind and positive with children and understand that trust is built over time through consistency and care. You are comfortable managing child pick-ups and drop-offs, helping keep family schedules running smoothly, and stepping in wherever support is needed. You enjoy creating order through daily tidying and home resets, ensuring shared spaces remain organized, functional, and welcoming. You are also comfortable preparing dinner and handling meal prep as part of the family's daily routine.

You are comfortable communicating via text, require minimal direction once established in the role, and take pride in tackling both large and small tasks with the same level of commitment. You are looking for a long-term role where you can grow with a family that will invest in you just as much as you invest in them.
