Job description

A family in Bethesda, Maryland, is seeking an experienced Family Assistant to work Monday through Friday, 12-9pm. The family has two boys, ages 11 and 8, and is transitioning away from traditional full-time childcare as the children become older and more independent.

Both boys have busy after-school schedules, with sports and activities frequently running until 8:00 p.m. The Family Assistant will assist with school pickups and driving while using the earlier part of the day for family laundry, household errands, grocery shopping, meal preparation, and light household tasks.

The family retains a professional housekeeping service for deep cleaning, so detailed cleaning is not required. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, flexible, and happy to take ownership of the family’s daily needs. They should have a positive presence and genuinely enjoy engaging with school-aged children.
