SUMMARY

A warm and welcoming family located in Montreal is seeking a versatile, caring, and organized Family Assistant to provide daily support in a busy household with two children, ages 4 and 6, and occasionally take over full children and household responsibilities.

This role is primarily focused on assisting the parents with the children's daily routines while ensuring the household remains well-organized and preparing nutritious dinners for the family. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, is proactive, dependable, and takes pride in contributing to a positive and well-functioning home environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Childcare & Family Support
  • Assist with the daily care and supervision of two children (ages 4 and 6).
  • Take charge of the after-school routines.
  • Prepare children for extracurricular activities.
  • Organize age-appropriate educational and recreational activities.
  • Support homework routines when required.
  • Maintain children's bedrooms, play areas, and belongings in an organized manner.
  • Wash, fold, and organize the children's laundry.
  • Setting up the bathroom and bedroom for the pre-bedtime routine.
  • Encourage positive manners, routines, and healthy habits.
Meal Preparation & Household Assistance
  • Plan and prepare healthy, family-style dinners.
  • Plan, prepare and pack lunches for the children.
  • Assist with grocery shopping.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen following meal preparation.
  • Monitor pantry and household supplies.
  • Work in team with a cleaner to perform light household duties related to the children's daily activities.
  • Assist with household organization as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
  • Previous experience as a Family Assistant, Nanny, Household Assistant, or in a similar private household position.
  • Experience caring for young children.
  • Strong cooking skills with the ability to prepare healthy family meals.
  • Have flexibility and availability for occasional extended hours and weekends.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Professional, discreet, trustworthy, and reliable.
  • Patient, energetic, and genuinely enjoys working with children.

  • Valid driver's licence is considered an asset.
