Human Service Specialist - Interactions & Skill Building Team

Full-Time | Tuesday-Saturday | Eau Claire, WI & Surrounding Counties

Make a difference in the lives of children and families by providing supervised visitation, parent education, and supportive services that promote family stability, healthy relationships, and positive outcomes.

Position Overview

As a Human Service Specialist, you will work directly with children, parents, and families involved in the child welfare system. This community-based role includes facilitating supervised visits, teaching parenting skills, and partnering with families to build strengths and achieve their goals. Remote work is available for documentation and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate supervised family visits in office, home, and community settings.
  • Provide parent education and psychoeducation related to parenting, mental health, and substance use.
  • Support families using trauma-informed, family-centered practices.
  • Collaborate with case managers, service teams, and supervisors to coordinate services and interventions.
  • Participate in team meetings and provide updates on client progress.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation and client records.
  • Prepare reports and testify in legal proceedings as required.
  • Attend supervision, training, and staff meetings.
Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One year of experience in a human services-related role.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience working with children, families, or child welfare services.
  • Knowledge of counseling, case management, and community resources.
  • Proficiency with electronic documentation systems and technology.
