Job description

Company Description

Join our team of Superheroes!

Here at StandDesk.co, we aim to improve people's health, happiness and work productivity without changing their existing lifestyle. Our mission: to make health easy, simple and engrained in our every day. That's why we launched on Kickstarter, raised over $670k in 45 days, and hit $3 million in Sales in our first year. We've done so with a very lean, tight-knit, and multi-talented team. We also have the best customers in the world who appreciate how much our product changes their lives.

The Opportunity

The office health and wellness industry is one of the fastest growing sectors in the US. So if you want to be in the thick of one of the rarest economic opportunities of a lifetime, this is the role for you. The standing desk market is growing at 3X pace month-over-month, and we're looking for a Video and Marketing Intern.

Job Description

The Role

If you're a film or marketing student who's often described as a self-sufficient creative firecracker, with great attention to detail, this gig just might be the perfect one for you. We're a hyper-growth-hacking startup that's building a marketing team from the ground up, with a specific focus on video content marketing. And since we're a lean startup that doesn't have the luxury to waste money on fetching lattes and making photocopies, you'll be on shoots, doing hands on assembly edits, and working on content ideas and development with our top Executives from week one. So if you're a trailblazing-digital-native and can prove it, join the StandDesk.co team and get in at the ground level with a company that's shooting to the top in a blazing hot space.

Responsibilities

  • As a member of the video marketing team, you will learn what goes into all aspects of the content creation cycle - from ideation, pre-production and planning, working on set and assisting with camera operation and sound, hands on editing, to online distribution and more.

  • Use your awesome energy to create content that deeply connects with people around the benefits of office wellness, helping businesses increase the health, happiness, and productivity of their teams with our office solutions.

  • Come up with creative ways to engage others with StandDesk - anyone can benefit from improving their health and being a rockstar at work!

The Details

  • Unique opportunity to grow and shape a marketing organization from the ground up.

  • Experience startup culture to hack your personal growth, take pride and ownership over your role, and have the flexibility to explore new areas of interest as we grow.

  • Fall Hours: 15-20 hours per week out of our LA office (we're flexible with your school schedule and ability to work remotely at times is possible as well)

  • Occasional travel to shoots and events around Los Angeles.
Qualifications

About You

  • Full of creative ideas and love to see projects through from start to finish.

  • Obsessed about growth and learning - always looking for new and better ways of doing things.

  • Experience using Adobe Premiere Pro and the Creative Cloud suite.

  • Great attention to detail on shoots and in edits to create solid, shareable content.

  • Extremely proactive with the ability to thrive in an unstructured environment.

  • Outgoing, engaging, and eternal optimist that brings enthusiasm and a can-do attitude to work each and every day.

  • Ability to deliver on multiple projects with a high attention to detail and meet deadlines.

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor program from an accredited university (preferred).
