Job description

FactSet creates flexible, open data and software solutions for over 200,000 investment professionals worldwide, providing instant access

to financial data and analytics that investors use to make crucial decisions.

At FactSet, our values are the foundation of everything we do. They express how we act and operate, serve as a compass in our decision-making, and play a big role in how we treat each other, our clients, and our communities. We believe that the best ideas can come from anyone, anywhere, at any time, and that curiosity is the key to anticipating our clients' needs and exceeding their expectations.

Role/Department Description:

FactSet's Data Solutions Sales (DSS) group is building a new growth pillar around Intelligent Document Service (IDS), our AI-ready managed services offering for financial libraries. IDS transforms raw, unstructured files into enriched, AI-ready data that powers GenAI, RAG, and analytics use cases across the front, middle, and back office.

Roughly 80% of enterprise data is unstructured (documents, emails, filings, transcripts), while most infrastructure is still optimized for the 20% that is structured and numeric, creating a gap between where insight lives and where investment has gone. You will build a healthy sales pipeline, owning your own quota and helping clients close the gap by connecting their document libraries to FactSet's knowledge graph, entity resolution, and vector platform so they can safely operationalize AI at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive revenue for IDS by owning the full sales cycle from prospecting, qualifying, negotiating and closing new business.
  • Build and manage a visible sales pipeline Tracking opportunities, forecasting ASV and consistently moving deals forward.
  • Build relationships with senior decision-makers (CDAO, CDO, CTO, Head of AI/ML, Heads of Research, COO) to influence build-vs-buy decisions around document processing, vectorization, and AI data strategy.
  • Lead discovery on clients' document landscape, data architecture, and AI/analytics use cases (RAG, GraphRAG, unstructured metric extraction, AI copilots, search).
  • Position IDS versus internal builds and generic document/OCR platforms by articulating differentiated value in financial domain expertise, entity/symbology linkage, enrichment quality, knowledge graph, and secure AI infrastructure.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with account teams and client solutions to align IDS with clients' broader technology strategies and use cases.
  • Lead client engagements including workshops, whiteboarding sessions, and executive briefings that translate AI roadmaps into concrete IDS implementations, phased POCs, pilots, and scaled rollouts.
  • Coordinate and lead IDS demos (document ingestion, vectorization and semantic search, enrichment, knowledge graph, unstructured metric extraction), leveraging subject matter experts as needed.
  • Share client requirements and market insights with product and strategy teams to inform product roadmap and integrations.
  • Collaborate across teams to develop sales plays, positioning materials, and use case documentation.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8+ years of client-facing sales experience, with a track record of exceeding quota in complex, consultative deals; experience selling into financial institutions required, with cloud data platforms, data feeds/APIs, or enterprise SaaS preferred
  • Strong understanding of financial services workflows and data usage across investment, risk, research, and corporate functions, including how documents and textual sources feed decision-making
  • Comfort engaging technical stakeholders on vector databases, embeddings, RAG, data pipelines, and cloud environments (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, AWS) and translating them into business value
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, and consultative selling skills with senior executives and technical teams
  • Proven success driving net-new business and expanding existing relationships, including POC/pilot structuring, commercial negotiation, and multi-year contracts
  • Self-starter who takes real ownership and actively stays ahead of emerging AI trends and technologies
  • For U.S. candidates, must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

The budgeted salary range for this position in states of Connecticut, and New York, is $112,000 - $140,000.
