• Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to evaluate clients’ needs and formulate personalized treatment plans.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to individual clients, factoring in their cultural and personal histories.
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions that tackle mental health concerns, enabling clients to develop resilience and coping strategies.
• Collaborate seamlessly with psychiatrists, psychologists, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care and continuity.
• Offer crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies by employing de-escalation techniques and therapeutic skills.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, therapeutic options, and community resources, empowering them to make informed decisions.
• Maintain precise and confidential documentation following legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring the integrity of client information in our electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Engage in regular case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing professional training to enhance cultural competence among staff.
• Continuously research and remain informed on best practices and trends in mental health therapy to better serve our diverse clientele.

Your primary focus will be on individuals seeking support in our Detox Center, where a multifaceted approach to therapy is vital. You will work with clients from varied backgrounds, promoting an environment where they feel safe and valued. Our diverse patient population includes those from ethnic minority communities, LGBTQ+ clients, and individuals facing cultural or socio-economic challenges, all of whom require and deserve unique and understanding mental health care.

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.
• A current and valid license in the state as an LMFT, LPC/MHSP, LPC, or LCSW.
• A deep understanding of various mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies.
• Experience delivering culturally responsive individual and group therapy.
• Competence in crisis intervention with a composure that fosters client trust during challenging interactions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage and build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and related software applications.
• A commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and maintaining professional boundaries.
• Ability to function effectively within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team framework.

• Experience working in a detox or addiction recovery setting, particularly with clients experiencing co-occurring mental health disorders.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices and methods to support clients in recovery.
• Specialized training or certifications in culturally responsive therapy techniques.
