Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Development: Build and maintain relationships within the healthcare industry to promote our facility.
  • Inquiry Management: Respond promptly to inquiries from hospital discharge planners, families, and other referral sources.
  • Sales Calls: Conduct external sales calls to medical community contacts, legal and financial professionals, and other community contacts.
  • Customer Service: Model exemplary customer service and train facility staff on customer satisfaction principles.
  • Admissions Process: Manage the admission process, ensuring room readiness and smooth transitions for new residents.
  • Community Education: Develop and implement special events and presentations to establish our center as the expert on skilled nursing and rehabilitation care.

Essential Functions:

  • Foster relationships with healthcare system discharge planners and request referrals.
  • Communicate weekly with the CEO and department heads to resolve admission issues.
  • Conduct tours for prospective customers and ensure room readiness for new residents.
  • Lead the bed management process and make recommendations regarding admission decisions.
  • Monitor and evaluate customer satisfaction and develop action plans to improve service delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Expert ability to make sales calls and develop business relationships.
  • Proficient in Windows Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Working knowledge of healthcare reimbursement programs (Medicare and Medicaid).
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain regular attendance.

Requirements

Education:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field preferred.
  • Two years of equivalent experience in a sales/marketing position or Admissions Coordinator position will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Licenses/Certification:

  • Valid driver's license.

Experience:

  • Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
  • 3-4 years of experience in a sales/marketing position, or with a heavy emphasis on customer service. A background in community involvement is preferred.
