Role Summary

The Facilities Support Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized facility. This role partners closely with operations and maintenance teams to support daily cleanliness and assist with facility upkeep. Success in this role requires dependability, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn and grow within the maintenance function.

Shift: Sunday - Wednesday (7:00am - 5:30pm)

Role Responsibilities
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of common areas, including floors, walkways, stairs, and employee spaces
  • Operate cleaning equipment (e.g., floor sweepers, scrubbers) as needed
  • Clean and restock facility supplies (trash receptacles, paper products, soap, sanitizers)
  • Support upkeep of employee areas such as lockers, timeclocks, and break spaces
  • Partner with internal teams and external housekeeping vendors to ensure facility standards are met
  • Assist Maintenance team during scheduled shutdowns and special projects
  • Take on additional tasks and cross-training opportunities to support team and departmental growth
Role Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Comprehend and follow work instructions to meet productivity and quality standards
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Reliable attendance with flexibility for overtime as needed
  • Ability to expand responsibilities and grow within the maintenance department over time.

 Physical Requirements

  • Stand and walk throughout a shift
  • Climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl for extended periods
  • Reach, pull, push, and lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights up to 50 pounds
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely as required for the position (i.e. pallet jack, box cutter, carts) which requires coordinated movements
