Position Summary:

To ensure the optimal functioning of buildings, grounds, and facilities-related equipment/systems including mechanical, electrical, building security/safety, plant/process utilities, etc. to support operations at various locations, whether owned or rented. This is a hands-on position that will coordinate with all functional areas of the company to support ongoing operations and continuously drive facilities-related improvements, both operational and aesthetic.

*This is a full-time on-site role located at our Wilson, NC facility

*APPLICANTS MUST CURRRENTLY RESIDE IN NORTH CAROLINA AND BE ABLE TO COMMUTE TO WILSON, NC*

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in facilities maintenance activities and operations including buildings & grounds, as well as all manufacturing shops and material storage areas.
  • Handles incoming facilities/maintenance requests to evaluate needs, set priorities, and execute an action plan that meets established quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
  • Identifies opportunities for facility improvements (operational, aesthetic, and cost).
  • Assists in coordination of facilities maintenance activities with other ABEC divisions, contractors, outside agencies and organizations to leverage resources, ensure consistency and minimize costs.
  • Provides highly responsive support to meet the needs of Manufacturing and Service operations.
  • Maintains database summarizing past, current, and planned facilities-related projects to reflect schedule of activities and status of active projects.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Ability to travel when required.


Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum (3-5) years of experience in maintenance, repair, & modification of buildings, grounds, and facilities-related equipment and system(s).
  • Typically work is in a manufacturing environment or customer’s site.
  • Exposure to loud noises.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment.
