A facilities planner organizes, lays out, and manages the use of space for a company or other organization. This can range from the use of operating rooms at a hospital to the management of major events at a convention center. While your duties as a facilities planner vary by the size of the facility, your primary responsibilities remain the same. You are responsible for scheduling facility activities, developing strategies for the most efficient use of the facility, and ensuring that all operations and events are running smoothly. Depending on the size of your employer, you may manage the staff as well, so manager experience and leadership skills are a must.
