Job description

Department:                     Department of Subways 

Location:                           2 Broadway, New York, NY 10004

Position Title:                   Subways Facilities Management, Emerging Talent Intern

Hourly Rate:                    $19.00 (Undergraduate)

All internship positions are onsite and require regular, in-person attendance at the designated work location.

OVERVIEW OF DEPARTMENT:

Facilities Management assist in the development, implementation, and tracking of the Facilities Division Strategic vision goals.  This division is responsible for the monitoring and analysis of performance indicators, maintaining information system(s) for planning and control of project development and overseeing contract development across all the Facilities' teams.   

Facilities Management in the Department of Subways, Division of Facilities is seeking a motivated intern to assist with project management, data analysis and facilities systems development/management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under general supervision, coordinate and expedite the development of projects within Facilities Management.   Assist renovation projects on a departmental level.  

  • Support operations by conducting analyses, designing and implementing studies, and identifying trends and root causes.  
  •  Assist with creating and maintaining project trackers.
  • Assist with creating user guides and training material.
  • Assist with creating work order tickets and updating status of work orders. 
  • Extracting data from various sources, cleaning, transforming, and loading it into the dashboard environment.  
  • Designing and building interactive dashboards using BI tools like Power BI.  Creating effective and visually appealing charts, graphs, and other visualizations to represent data insights.
  • Analyze data from EAM systems and other data sources to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. 
  • Assist with system configuration, user training, and troubleshooting related to the EAM system.  

PROJECTS:

  • System development in Power Apps.
  • Dashboard development (Power BI).
  • Training documentation.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a must.
  • The candidate should possess organizational, analytical and communication skills. 
  • The candidate should be able to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • The candidate should have a keen eye for detail and be able to work independently while being an active team player.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Matriculated in an undergraduate program in good standing with at least 2.5 GPA.
  • Major(s) Preferred: Computer Science, Business Management, Business Admin, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
