Job Summary
We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Tech for a direct hire opportunity supporting affordable residential housing communities throughout Ventura County, including Oxnard, Santa Paula, Simi Valley, and Piru. This role is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional who enjoys keeping apartment homes, common areas, and building systems safe, functional, and well maintained.
This is a stable opportunity with a mission-driven property management environment focused on providing quality housing and a positive resident experience. The Facilities Maintenance Tech will work closely with property leadership, resident managers, vendors, and residents in a team-oriented setting with supportive supervision, consistent weekday hours, and strong benefits. This is a great fit for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates well, and wants to grow within residential facilities maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform general apartment and property maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, drywall repair, painting, carpentry, and basic building repairs.
- Complete repairs and turnover work in vacant apartments to prepare units for occupancy in a timely and professional manner.
- Conduct daily inspections of exterior areas, common areas, community rooms, offices, storage rooms, electrical rooms, landscaping, and parking areas.
- Respond to emergency after-hours maintenance requests and help ensure resident safety, including review of lighting and security-related maintenance issues.
- Maintain maintenance supplies, tools, equipment, work order records, apartment maintenance files, and tracking logs.
- Coordinate with resident managers, property supervisors, and vendors to complete repairs, obtain quotes, and follow through on assigned work.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $21 to $23 per hour, depending on experience.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Job Type: Direct hire.
- Benefits include health insurance options, dental, vision, life insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, and the opportunity to enroll in a 403(b) retirement plan.
