About the Role:
Fine Fettle is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Facilities Manager to oversee the management and maintenance of our cutting-edge, 118,000 square foot production facility in Macon, GA while also supporting our retail locations throughout the state. This role is essential to ensuring our facilities, grounds, and equipment are well-maintained, safe, and fully operational.
The Facilities Manager will be responsible for coordinating and executing preventative maintenance activities, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with applicable safety and regulatory standards. In addition to supporting the Production Facility, this position will regularly travel to Fine Fettle retail locations throughout Georgia to perform minor maintenance and repair tasks, assess facility needs, and help ensure each location remains in optimal working condition.
Working closely with the Director of Facilities, the Facilities Manager will also assist in managing and maintaining preventative maintenance schedules across our retail locations, proactively identifying maintenance needs and helping coordinate timely repairs, service, and vendor support.
This role reports directly to the Director of Facilities and is ideal for someone who is hands-on, organized, proactive, and comfortable balancing day-to-day maintenance needs with ongoing facility planning across multiple locations.
Primary Responsibilities Include, but Are Not Limited To:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the facility, ensuring optimal functionality and safety.
  • Develop and manage maintenance schedules for equipment, systems, and infrastructure.
  • Coordinate and supervise all repairs, renovations, installs and upgrades to the facility.
  • Support commissioning and maintenance of all equipment in the facility.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring quality service.
  • Monitor facility budgets, controlling costs while maintaining high standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies.
  • Coordinate with leadership to ensure timely repairs in accordance to production schedules.
  • Ensure that the facility and surrounding grounds are clean, organized, and well-maintained, including managing janitorial services and landscaping.
  • Operate and maintain forklifts and other heavy equipment as needed for facility operations, ensuring safe and efficient use.
  • The Facilities Manager will support maintenance needs across Fine Fettle's Georgia retail locations.
  • Respond promptly to facility-related emergencies and implement effective solutions, including working outside of normal scheduled hours when necessary.
  • The Facilities Manager will oversee maintenance requests and minor projects across Fine Fettle's Georgia retail locations.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in facilities management, preferably in a large commercial or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, lighting technologies, layout/design, electrical, plumbing, and security.
  • A minimum of two years' experience in a facilities management position.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in facility management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Proactive problem-solver with the ability to anticipate and address facility needs.
  • Competency with technology; Must be able to use computers/smartphones, and applications like Google Docs, Excel, etc.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 Pounds consistently, and must be able to bend, squat, reach, kneel, walk, etc.
  • Committed to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
  • A solution-driven attitude, good analytical skills, and great attention-to-detail.
  • Familiarity with state and federal cannabis laws and a willingness to spend time researching regulations and building expertise.
  • Resourceful and cost-conscious, always seeking ways to optimize facility operations.
  • Familiarity with harvesting and post-harvest activities like Drying, Curing, Trimming, Packaging, etc.
  • Willingness to be the one doing the work, not just directing others.
  • Cleanliness, GMP familiarity.
  • Ability to pass a Federal Background Check with no felony convictions.
