About the Role

The Facilities Manager leads the maintenance, safety, and day-to-day operation of a large distribution facility. This role oversees building systems, vendor relationships, facility projects, and a team of facilities professionals to ensure a safe, efficient, and productive work environment.

As an M2-level leader, you will manage facility operations, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and support the operational needs of a fast-paced healthcare distribution business.

What You Will Do

  • Lead all facility operations, maintenance, and building services activities
  • Manage and develop a team of facilities technicians and support staff
  • Oversee preventative maintenance programs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems
  • Ensure facilities and equipment operate safely, efficiently, and reliably
  • Manage vendor relationships, service contracts, and contractor performance
  • Oversee facility-related projects, repairs, renovations, and capital improvements
  • Develop and manage facility budgets, expenses, and cost-saving initiatives
  • Conduct routine facility inspections and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Maintain facility management systems, work orders, maintenance schedules, and asset records
  • Oversee security, housekeeping, landscaping, waste management, and space utilization programs
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
  • Respond to facility emergencies and coordinate corrective actions
  • Partner with operations, warehouse, and leadership teams to support business needs

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of experience in facilities management, building operations, maintenance, or a related field
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing teams, projects, or facility operations
  • Experience managing commercial, industrial, warehouse, or distribution facilities
  • Experience managing budgets, vendors, service contracts, and maintenance programs
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred Skills / Experience

  • Experience supporting healthcare, pharmaceutical, medical supply, manufacturing, or distribution operations
  • Experience with facility management software, work order systems, or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Knowledge of OSHA, environmental, and workplace safety regulations
  • Experience leading capital projects, renovations, or facility improvements
  • Professional certifications such as CFM (Certified Facility Manager) or FMP (Facility Management Professional)
  • Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills

Work Environment

  • Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • On-site leadership role supporting a high-volume distribution operation
  • Combination of office work and facility floor presence
  • Frequent interaction with operations leaders, employees, contractors, and vendors
