A facilities coordinator ensures that the work environment for all staff members of an organization is optimal by promoting safe conditions and providing building maintenance services. Responsibilities include making plans to ensure adequate supply levels, working with vendors, scheduling maintenance and repairs, and looking out for the health and safety of the building employees. Other duties include making sure that the grounds are safe and the upkeep is on schedule, helping to plan the budget, working to manage the inside areas of the facility, and assigning tasks to the proper people for maintaining equipment. You also keep the space clean and organized and attend to necessary upgrades and changes.
