Job description

Wire 3 is dedicated to providing affordable, high-speed, and high-bandwidth internet services to households in our local communities. Our mission is to not only deliver the best internet experience in Florida but also provide the exceptional customer care our customers deserve. With cutting-edge fiber optic technology at its core, Wire 3 ensures ultra-fast, reliable connections, minimizing disruptions, and maximizing your online experience.

Backed by private equity, Wire 3 is on an exciting trajectory of rapid growth. Weโ€™re actively seeking driven, talented individuals to join our team of passionate and collaborative professionals who share a common vision of excellence. If youโ€™re looking to be part of a dynamic and fast-growing organization, weโ€™d love for you to help us continue delivering industry-leading service to our customers.

JOB OVERVIEW:

Wire 3 is seeking a Community Events Manager to own Wire 3โ€™s presence on the ground in an assigned region. Reporting to the Sr. Community Events Manager, you are Wire 3โ€™s face in your markets โ€” at the schools, the festivals, the civic events, the open houses, and inside the local Nextdoor and Facebook groups where neighbors talk about their internet. This is not a desk job. You will spend most of your week in the field building relationships, running events, responding to community conversations online, and gathering competitive intelligence on the ground. You will coordinate locally with Sales, Field Services, Operations, and Government Affairs to make sure every interaction reinforces that Wire 3 cares in and for the communities we serve.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan, staff, and execute local events across your region including both brand events (schools, festivals, civic gatherings, parades) and conversion events (open houses, neighborhood demos, pre-order sign-up drives)
  • Build and maintain an event calendar per market that aligns with construction milestones, market launches, and locally relevant community moments
  • Develop and maintain an event contact list per market covering Sales, Field Services, Operations, and Government Affairs so the right people are pulled in at the right time
  • Replicate Wire 3 event models and adapt them to local context in your assigned markets
  • Document what works in a repeatable event kit โ€” materials lists, staffing plans, run-of-show templates, signage, and follow-up scripts โ€” so new community managers can ramp quickly
  • Represent Wire 3 in person at events as the local face of the brand; build relationships with HOAs, civic organizations, school PTAs, chambers of commerce, and other community institutions
  • Identify, join, and actively participate in Nextdoor neighborhoods, Facebook neighborhood and community groups, and other local online forums across your region
  • Provide event updates on Wire 3 social media channels through photography, videography, and brief write-ups
  • Monitor community conversations daily for questions about internet service, complaints about competitors, posts asking for recommendations, and any mentions of Wire 3; respond promptly, helpfully, and in-brand
  • Coordinate with the Brand Creative Lead and Sr. Community Events Manager on standardized response language, escalation paths, and approved messaging so the brand voice stays consistent across markets
  • Flag patterns in community conversation โ€” repeated complaints, competitor moves, neighborhood-level interest spikes โ€” to marketing and operations leadership
  • Track engagement metrics including groups joined, responses posted, sentiment of interactions, and inbound leads attributed to community engagement
  • Own the competitive intelligence sweep for your assigned market areas โ€” tracking competitor pricing, promotions, offers, and bundles on a monthly cadence
  • Monitor competitor service area expansions; document competitor brand positioning, creative, door-to-door scripts, mailers, and digital ads as encountered in the field
  • Poll local Wire 3 teammates regularly for the intel they pick up door-to-door and on job sites; track customer sentiment about competitors on Nextdoor, Facebook groups, Google reviews, and other public channels in your markets
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES:

  • Strong in-person community relationship-building skills with a genuine presence and credibility in local settings
  • Event planning and execution skills with the ability to manage multiple events across a region simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong brand judgment and the ability to represent Wire 3 consistently across community channels
  • Comfort with local online platforms including Nextdoor and Facebook community groups; active presence and credibility on these platforms preferred
  • Self-motivated and highly organized with the ability to manage a field-heavy schedule across multiple markets independently
  • Familiarity with competitive intelligence gathering and reporting preferred
  • Experience in B2C field marketing or community engagement in a high-growth environment preferred
  • Existing local roots, relationships, or presence in the assigned region a strong plus

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • 3+ years of experience in community marketing, field marketing, event coordination, or a related local-engagement role

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • This is a field-based role; the majority of work is performed in-market at events, in the community, and on the road
  • Must reside in or near the assigned region
  • Must be available for evening and weekend events as community schedules require
  • Must have reliable transportation to travel throughout the assigned region

BENEFITS:

  • Salary + Bonus Eligible
  • Company-paid premiums for medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and your dependents
  • Dynamic environment with diverse growth opportunities
  • Emphasis on learning and development to support career and personal growth
  • Work-life balance 120 hours paid time off (PTO) after 90-day probation period
  • 40 hours of paid sick leave
  • 6 major paid holidays off
  • 401(k) plan with company match.
