Business Analyst - Job ID #HBITS-04-03365 Albany, NY, United States/ 2 Year Contract APPLICATION CLOSING DATE: 03-30-2016 BUSINESS ANALYST Manages small to medium-scale business analysis work or projects with distinct deliverables to a solution Senior Level 5-7 years: Candidate is able to work without assistance and can provide leadership for others; may have advanced education Responsibilities: This position will develop and/or maintain system documentation including business requirements, training plans, test plans, quality assurance and contingency operations plans, and reports. This individual will be expected to provide expertise and hands-on participation in the following activities: Elicit business system requirements using one or more of the following methods: analyze current processes, interview users, conduct JAD sessions or group meetings, review/analyze existing documentation or system artifacts. Analyze and document business processes (both 'as is' and 'to be' processes) utilizing business process mapping tools to effectively document the processes for the customer.

Develop or maintain system requirements in detailed, clear and well organized functional documents (business requirements documents, business or system use cases, reports) and/or process flow diagrams Develop or maintain test plans and detailed test cases. Develop and revise, as required, training or user acceptance testing plans. Execute functional and system tests, including regression tests.

Coordinate user acceptance testing.by tracking and managing end user testing efforts Identify and document application defects and track to resolution, performing retesting as required. Development or revision of existing user guides, quick reference guides and/or other help files for the end user community Required Skills: Minimum of 5 years experience eliciting/extracting detailed business requirements from customer/project stakeholders and system artifacts. Minimum of 5 years experience developing/maintaining test plans and detailed test cases, executing those tests, validating test results, and logging/tracking related defects
