Title: Fabrication Manager Location: Pasadena, TX Duration: Full-time Salary Range: 140k/yr - 160k/yr Day-to-Day: Production Leadership: Directly manage a team of 26 across the machine shop, assembly floor, and electrical panel shop. Focus on leading people, not just managing processes. Advanced Scheduling: Mastermind the shopโ€™s production schedule. Coordinate with the man to ensure custom fabrications (including fire pump skids and specialized mechanical systems) are completed on time. Operational KPIs: Own the "Percentage of Completion" (POC) metrics. Track and report on shop productivity to ensure project managers have real-time data for revenue recognition without needing to manually audit the floor. Quality & Compliance: Maintain the shopโ€™s ISO 9001 certification. Ensure all fabrications meet stringent quality standards and that inventory management systems are strictly followed. Safety Stewardship: Act as the primary advocate for shop safety, ensuring all team members adhere to safety manuals and industry-best practices. Financial Oversight: Manage the general financials of the fabrication group (P&L oversight). Note: This role does not involve pricing or estimating, as those are handled by procurement. Technical Review: Read and interpret complex fabrication drawings and blueprints to guide the team through technical hurdles. Must Haves: Leadership Experience: 3+ years of experience managing a large-scale fabrication or industrial assembly team. Project Management: Strong background in scheduling, planning, and KPI tracking. ISO Knowledge: Proven experience working within an ISO 9001-compliant environment. Technical Literacy: Ability to read and interpret mechanical fabrication drawings. This is a direct hire opportunity. The selected candidate will be employed directly by our client.
