Description

Premier Pump & Power is a fast-moving, engineered-to-order manufacturer of industrial pump systems used in demanding applications across North America. We don’t operate like a slow, bureaucratic OEM—we move fast, solve real problems, and expect our leaders to take ownership.

The Production Manager is responsible for leading all shop floor operations including fabrication, assembly, and materials flow. This role ensures production schedules are met safely, efficiently, and with high quality, while driving continuous improvement across processes, people, and systems.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong coordination across Planning, Purchasing, Engineering, and Quality to deliver made-to-order pump packages on time and on budget.

This is a full-time position located in Spring, Texas.

Responsibilities

    • Fabrication (forming, welding, paint/powder coat)
    • Assembly (pre-assembly, sub-assembly, final assembly)
    • Materials (receiving, warehousing, kitting, shipping)
  • Execute production schedules in alignment with MRP system outputs
  • Ensure on-time delivery and throughput targets are consistently met
  • Identify and remove bottlenecks across the production flow
  • Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and production personnel
  • Drive accountability for safety, quality, and productivity metrics
  • Build a high-performance culture focused on ownership and execution
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and workforce planning
  • Implement Lean manufacturing principles (5S, standard work, visual management)
  • Reduce waste, rework, and cycle time across operations
  • Partner with Engineering to improve manufacturability and design efficiency
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and inspection requirements
  • Partner with Quality Assurance and MRB to resolve non-conformances
  • Maintain a safe working environment and enforce safety policies
Qualifications

Required

  • 5–10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations
  • 5+ years in a leadership role (Production Manager, Supervisor, etc.)
  • Experience in metal fabrication and/or mechanical assembly environments
  • Strong understanding of MRP systems and production scheduling
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive performance
  • High ownership mindset—you don’t wait for direction, you solve problems
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, execution-focused environment

Preferred

  • Experience with engineered-to-order or custom manufacturing
  • Background in pump systems, rotating equipment, or industrial equipment
  • Lean / Six Sigma experience
  • Familiarity with welding, machining, and fabrication processes

Employment will be conditioned upon passing a drug screen and background check.

Benefits
  • Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)
  • Retirement Plan (401k), with company match up to 4% of employee contributions
