Job description

Are you looking for a hands-on, organized shop role to take ownership of our fabrication shop and keep daily operations running smoothly? If yes, take a look and apply!

Job Summary

This is a working manager role, not a desk job. You’ll be actively involved in the day-to-day work while also coordinating shop activities, keeping jobs on track, and serving as the go-to person for anything fabrication-related. Success in this role is driven by organization, ownership, reliability, and the ability to keep work moving efficiently.

You don’t need to come in as an expert in sprinkler fabrication. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable in a shop environment, highly dependable, and quick to learn. You’ll train alongside our current manager before stepping into the role.

Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day operation of the fabrication shop
  • Keep work organized, prioritized, and moving on schedule
  • Pull and prepare materials for fabrication and delivery
  • Measure, cut, groove, thread, and assemble pipe (training provided)
  • Operate shop equipment and tools safely and efficiently
  • Load/unload materials and operate a forklift
  • Coordinate daily work and adjust priorities based on deadlines
  • Serve as the go-to person for shop questions and support
  • Ensure materials are ready and available for upcoming work
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized shop and yard

  • Background in a shop, warehouse, manufacturing, or maintenance environment

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required for company driving insurance)
  • Ability to lift and move 100+ lbs regularly
  • Ability to be on your feet most of the day
  • Comfortable working in indoor/outdoor shop conditions
  • Basic computer skills (email, opening spreadsheets)

  • Monday - Friday 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM


Pay Range
$28 to $34/hour, eligible for overtime - placement on the pay range is based on relevant experience
