Job description

JOB TITLE:                         Fabric Line Certified Operator 

REPORTS TO:                    Fabric Team Leader          

CATEGORY:                       Operator III                            

 

Day or night shift available. 12-hour days, flexible schedule - full-time with exceptional benefits! 

 

SUMMARY:

With little supervision, sets up, operates and performs complex maintenance on a variety of specialized production and non-production equipment. May sort, load, unload, check and inspect. Instructs and directs one or more Assistants. Keep necessary records, reports reject and failure patterns. Works to sketches, diagrams, and drawings, written and verbal instructions. Acts to maintain the integrity of processes and final product quality. 

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead by example (safety, conduct, policy, and work ethic)
  • Maintain the integrity of processes and products with focus on safety, quality, and production
  • The ability to read and interpret assembly prints and basic blueprints
  • Responds appropriately to system, process or material problems
  • Performs required inventory functions (e.g. inquiries, updates, transactions, certs)
  • Train and mentor new associates in process and line operation
  • Performs Daily Team Maintenance activities
  • Monitors and maintains dynamic air flow/filter system
  • Develop Visual Work Instructions
  • Develop perform required task for product changeover to Standard Work Instructions
  • Perform complex fiber blending/color corrections
  • Monitors and maintains department 5-S standards
  • Performs TPM activities
  • The ability to read and interpret complex HMI operation system
  • Follow written Work Order instructions using proper materials
  • Follow written SOC (Standard Operating Condition) maintaining quality and machine throughput
  • Follow written SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) using correct packaging materials and tools
  • Performs required tasks for product changeover and startup
  • Previous experience in the operation of high-volume manufacturing equipment and the use of common hand tools
  • Use of efficient time management skills to increase machine uptime
  • Able to prioritize internal and external job functions to minimize downtime
  • Advanced knowledge in Fabric processes and troubleshooting.
  • Understands all job hazards, demonstrates safe behaviors

  • Data entry (E1) for material use, finish good, time entries (run time and down time)
  • Perform required quality assurance testing and data entry
  • Able to pass written and demonstrative test
  • Performs other duties as assigned
