Senior F5 Load Balancer Engineer
Location: Plano, TX / Chandler AZ (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 months
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior F5 Load Balancer Engineer to support complex, large-scale initiatives within a financial services environment. This role requires expertise in F5 Networks and VMware AVI, along with a background in enterprise networking, application infrastructure, and security. The engineer will design, implement, and support load-balancing solutions while partnering with various internal teams and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and support load-balancing solutions for large-scale enterprise initiatives.
  • Deliver high- and low-level designs for load balancing infrastructure and related changes.
  • Provide Level 3 production support for complex operational issues and contribute to technical problem resolution.
  • Partner with application teams, network and security engineers, and lines of business to gather and translate technical requirements.
  • Maintain comprehensive design and operational documentation.
  • Support capacity planning, performance monitoring, and platform lifecycle management activities.
  • Collaborate with external vendors to resolve issues, defects, and enhancement requests.
  • Contribute to the design of application infrastructure integration solutions and support technical standards.
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills: Strong expertise in load balancing technologies, with hands-on experience supporting F5 Networks and VMware AVI environments. Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, Perl, and Java is required. A solid foundation in network engineering, architecture, troubleshooting, and application security is necessary.
