Job description

A leading financial services organization is hiring a full-time Principal Network Engineer with deep expertise in F5 technologies, based in the Scottsdale, AZ. This role is centered around application delivery, load balancing, and secure traffic management across hybrid cloud environments, with a strong focus on F5 BIG-IP, AWS networking, and infrastructure automation using tools like Ansible and Terraform.
This is a high-impact, senior-level engineering role for someone who wants to operate as a true subject matter expert. The team is looking for a hands-on F5 specialist who can own architecture, design, and optimization of critical application delivery systems while helping drive modernization efforts across cloud and on-prem environments. You’ll be working on highly scaled, security-focused systems that support external partners, so the work is both visible and meaningful. If you enjoy solving complex traffic management problems and want to stay deeply technical while influencing direction, this is a strong opportunity.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Deep expertise with F5 BIG-IP platforms including LTM, APM, and ASM
  • Strong experience designing and supporting application delivery and load balancing solutions
  • Advanced knowledge of iRules and traffic management policies
  • Hands-on experience with global and local load balancing including GTM/DNS
  • Strong understanding of enterprise DNS architecture and implementation
  • Experience with AWS networking services such as ALB, ELB, and Route 53
  • Strong automation experience using Ansible or Terraform
  • Expertise in TLS, TCP troubleshooting, and application-layer networking
  • Experience with SNAT and advanced traffic routing concepts
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with external partners
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation as needed
