Job description

Job Summary:
We are looking for a full-time Accounts Receivable Specialist who will help in maintaining the accounts receivable for multiple divisions including processing AR invoices, credit authorizations and payment applications. They are also responsible for compliance support for Project Accountants. The AR Specialist will attain cross-functionality and provide backup for administrative, and accounting functions as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Process customer Invoices for multiple divisions
  • Maintain customer records
  • Perform customer account reconciliations
  • Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities.
  • Manage cash applications to make sure all cash receipts are applied properly (including live checks, credit cards, lockboxes and ACH).
  • Process credit memos and RMAs
  • Prepare and submit weekly outstanding receivables report.
  • Assist in providing documentation on various financial transactions and metrics.
  • Work with various departments to resolve billing issues.
  • Process credit applications for new customers
  • Assist in preparing sales tax

Requirements
  • Previous billing experience is required.
  • Degree is not necessary but preferred.
  • Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
  • Computer proficiency with working knowledge of Excel is a plus.
  • Highly detail oriented and organized
  • Ability to meet assigned deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to act and operate independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
