Job description

Job Title: Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic
Location: Nashville, TN
Company: Extreme Coatings Inc
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: Up to $40 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00am–3:30pm; Overtime as needed


Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks and trailers (brakes, engines, transmissions, electrical, etc.)

  • Perform regular preventive maintenance inspections and services

  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools

  • Complete work orders, maintenance logs, and inspection reports

  • Ensure all repairs comply with safety regulations and company standards

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment

  • Collaborate with dispatch and operations teams to minimize vehicle downtime


Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in heavy truck repair and maintenance

  • Valid driver's license (Class A or B CDL preferred but not required)

  • Strong understanding of diesel engines, air brake systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems

  • Proficient with diagnostic tools and repair software

  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions

  • Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious
