General Summary

The Ministry Relations Health Plan Consultant plays a vital role in carrying out the mission of Concordia Plans.This role is responsible for supporting ministries, account managers, and Concordia Plans strategies to grow and retain Concordia Health Plan through education, communication, consultation, and strategies.

Essential Job Functions
  • Leads the development and implementation of strategic plans focused on Concordia Health Plan (CHP) membership growth, retention, and wellness engagement.
  • Drives data-informed decision-making through CRM utilization and market intelligence to identify prospective opportunities and client-specific value propositions.
  • Establishes partnerships with key stakeholders, internal teams, and external customers to create alignment in product strategy, pricing, and service delivery.
  • Collaborates with Product Solutions, Marketing, and Actuarial teams to enhance product offerings and ensure wellness solutions reflect the needs of ministries and members.
  • Consults with clients on benefit funding strategies, pricing methodologies, plan structure, and long-term wellness objectives to drive retention and growth.
  • Facilitates health education programs, including health fairs, regional outreach initiatives, and community-based wellness events.
  • Serves as a trusted advisor to Concordia Plan Services' executive leadership, board members, district presidents, and ministry decision-makers.
  • Supports the development and execution of training resources, communication materials, and member education initiatives to promote informed health benefit usage.
  • Contributes to the strategic account management of high-value clients, leading or co-leading health care strategy discussions, retention planning, and value demonstrations.
Education and Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of insurance carrier, benefit consulting and/or experience with health insurance pricing and renewal process preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience in understanding small group renewal, pricing and actuarial principles.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully collaborating with various teams within an organization to achieve stated organizational goals.
