Position Purpose:
The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for organization-wide internal and external financial reporting, oversight of our billing processes and third-party cost reports, support office accounting and key allocation processes, and leadership over our fund and investment accounting for our Foundations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required
- CPA or MBA preferred
- Five years of manager level experience of similar responsibilities required
- Excellent Financial background
- Experience in not-for-profit fund accounting required
- Senior living industry experience desired
- Affordable housing industry experience desired.
- Strong creative leader with a proven track record
- Able to work effectively in a process-based collaborative organizational structure.
- Able to work independently with little supervision and able to handle multiple tasks while meeting deadlines, and have attention to detail.
As a Financial Reporting Manager you can expect to:
- Assist the Director of Accounting and operations managers with support on financial matters throughout the year and process improvements.
- Support our fund development teams to provide reporting for grant applications and donor facing reporting.
- Serve as lead accountant for both our ERS and ECH Foundations including all investment transactions and reporting including periodic reporting to Foundation boards.
- Serve as lead accountant for ERS Support Office, centralized overhead allocation processes, and ERS System miscellaneous strategy entities
- Coordinate and lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual internal financial reports for leadership and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate and lead the preparation of external financial reporting, including audit support, tax support, lender reporting, board reporting, and other required submissions.
- Manager of our Billing Specialists and periodic third-party reporting and cost reports.
- Manager of our corporate credit card program and software administrator.
- Administrator of our reporting software with training to create new reports.
- Support the Director of Finance with annual budget process and insurance reporting needs.
- Primary liaison with external accountants to coordinate audit, tax and cost reporting services – coordinate closely with accountants and external parties to ensure key reporting deadlines are met.
- Process improvements and other special projects.
- Provides as a financial consulting resources for the ERS management staff.
