What is exterior remodeling?

Exterior remodeling refers to the process of renovating or upgrading the outside features of a building or home. Common projects include replacing siding, installing new windows or doors, updating roofing, adding porches or decks, and improving landscaping or outdoor lighting. The goal is often to enhance curb appeal, increase property value, or improve energy efficiency. Exterior remodeling can range from minor updates to major structural changes, depending on the needs and budget of the homeowner.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an exterior remodeler, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Exterior Remodeler, you need strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety procedures, often supported by experience or vocational training. Familiarity with power tools, measurement devices, and possibly certifications like OSHA safety training are commonly required. Attention to detail, customer service, and problem-solving are vital soft skills to excel in this role. These competencies ensure quality workmanship, safety compliance, and high customer satisfaction on renovation projects.

New hires can prepare by familiarizing themselves with safety protocols, learning how to adapt project timelines due to weather, and developing strong communication skills for effective teamwork. Gaining hands-on experience with various materials and tools commonly used in exterior projects, such as siding, roofing, and windows, can also help new team members succeed.

Salary: $45,000 – $80,000 per year, based on experience + performance incentives · Full-time

Join a Team That's Redefining What Work Feels Like

At Presidential Exteriors, we're not your average remodeling company — we're a fast-growing, award-winning team that believes in winning together. Our mission is simple: to transform homes and lives by delivering the best products, service, and experience in the industry.

We take pride in our Employees First culture, where growth, recognition, and fun go hand in hand. Whether it's leadership retreats, incentive trips to Cancun, or local team events, you'll be part of a community that's driven to succeed — and to celebrate the big wins along the way.

Who You Are

You're hungry to learn, eager to grow, and ready to make an impact. You take pride in your work, thrive under pressure, and aren't afraid to get your hands dirty to make things happen. You're organized, personable, and motivated by seeing a project go from blueprint to completion. If you thrive on teamwork, embrace a challenge, and value clear communication, you'll fit right in.

What You'll Do

As a Project Manager, you'll be the bridge between customers, crews, and our production team — taking ownership of each project from start to finish and making sure every detail is handled with precision and care.

  • Conduct pre-installation inspections to verify job readiness, confirm project scope, and ensure all materials and site conditions are prepared for installation.
  • Coordinate installation schedules by ensuring crews, subcontractors, and materials arrive on time and projects stay on track
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners throughout the construction process, providing updates and addressing questions or concerns.
  • Perform final walkthroughs with homeowners to ensure quality standards are met, address punch list items, and confirm customer satisfaction.
  • Collect final payments and complete all required project closeout documentation.
  • Monitor project progress, resolve field issues quickly, and coordinate with production, sales, vendors, and installation teams to keep projects moving efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate project records, including job notes, photos, change orders, and customer communications, while delivering an exceptional homeowner experience from start to finish.
What You Bring
  • A valid driver's license and comfort driving between job sites
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and time management
  • A positive attitude and the confidence to lead
  • Tech-savvy with Google Workspace and project management tools
  • Experience in construction, project coordination, or remodeling is a plus — but if you're eager to learn, we'll train you
What's in It for You
  • Competitive pay: $45,000 – $80,000 per year + performance incentives
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Up to 4 weeks of paid time off, plus paid holidays
  • Paid parental leave and a wellness program
  • Company truck provided for fieldwork
  • Incentive programs, company events, and career advancement opportunities
  • A team that genuinely believes in your potential
Schedule & Location
  • Monday through Friday, with alternating Saturdays
  • Based in Virginia — in-person role
