Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to support our weekly extended-stay hotel properties (Envi North & Envi South).

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all guest units and common areas are well-maintained, fully functional, and guest-ready at all times. You’ll play a critical role in unit turns, preventative maintenance, and rapid-response service, helping deliver a clean, safe, and comfortable experience for every guest.

Essential Functions: (Include but are not limited to):

Accountability

  • Take ownership of assigned work orders and ensure timely completion in a fast-paced, high-turn environment
  • Maintain accurate records of completed maintenance and upcoming needs
  • Participate in on-call rotations as needed

Guest-Focused Service

  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest maintenance requests
  • Ensure issues are resolved efficiently with minimal disruption to guests
  • Foster positive relationships with guests, team members, and vendors

Maintenance & Repairs

  • Perform repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and general building systems
  • Complete carpentry work including drywall, cabinetry, doors/locks, and fixtures
  • Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues quickly to minimize downtime of rentable units
  • Support unit readiness and turnovers, ensuring rooms meet company standards for incoming guests

Preventive Maintenance & Inspections

  • Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, building systems, and common areas
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce equipment failure and costly repairs
  • Perform safety checks including lighting, fire/life systems, and overall property condition

Property Upkeep & Operations

  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and functionality of common areas and exterior grounds
  • Identify and address potential hazards proactively
  • Assist during property emergencies (e.g., water leaks, power issues, weather-related events)
  • Coordinate with vendors and assist in overseeing subcontracted work when needed

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus
  • 2+ years of maintenance experience (hospitality, hotels, apartments, or related field preferred)
  • Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently and efficiently
  • Strong customer service mindset with a focus on guest satisfaction
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-turnover environment
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
  • Availability for flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and on-call

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to climb stairs/ladders and work in confined or mechanical spaces
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
  • Ability to safely operate tools, equipment, and maintenance systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively and use mobile devices/tablets for work orders
