Position: Ocean Import/Export Coordinator
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
Salary: $22.00 - $25.00 an hour

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Ocean Import/Export Coordinator for a temp-to-hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience handling ocean import and export shipments and be familiar with the CargoWise operating system. This position requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously, and strong communication with customers, carriers, and overseas agents.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage ocean import and export shipments from start to finish.
  • Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs-related documents.
  • Communicate with steamship lines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, customers, and overseas agents.
  • Track shipments and provide timely status updates to customers.
  • Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and company procedures.
  • Enter and maintain shipment information in the CargoWise system.
  • Resolve shipment issues and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain accurate shipment files and documentation.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in ocean import and export operations.
  • Experience using CargoWise is strongly preferred.
