The Air Exports Specialist is a key leader in our international operations team, focusing exclusively on air export shipments. You are a seasoned, detail-oriented professional with a proven track record in air freight, compliance, and team leadership. Requirements

  •  3+ years of Air Export experience (Ocean experience is a plus, but air is primary) 
  • CargoWise experience preferred 
  • IATA Certification strongly preferred 
  • Proven experience handling complex international air cargo shipments from start to finish (A-Z) 
  • Expert knowledge of international air export regulations and documentation 
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills 
  • Ability to prioritize, problem-solve, and make critical decisions under pressure 
  • Experience managing relationships with carriers, vendors, and agents 
  • This is an on-site position and candidates must reside in either the Greater Baltimore, MD area or the Los Angeles, CA area to be considered. Candidates outside of these locations will not be considered at this time, as relocation and sponsorship are not available. 
What You Will Do...

As a Air Exports Specialist, you ensure the efficient, compliant, and cost-effective movement of international air freight from booking through delivery. You will take ownership of complex shipments, lead process improvements, mentor junior staff, and act as a primary point of contact for high-value clients and key accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee air export shipments from booking to delivery, ensuring timeliness and compliance 
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for international air export documentation, including AES filings, commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and DG shipments 
  • Lead carrier bookings, rate negotiations, and contract approvals 
  • Coordinate with domestic and international agents to ensure smooth operations and compliance with all regulations 
  • Proactively track cargo, update clients, and resolve operational issues 
  • Review, audit, and improve export processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy 
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior export staff 
  • Prepare and present export reports, shipment statistics, and performance metrics to management 
  • Ensure all shipments adhere to Priority Worldwide's standards and corporate environmental initiatives
