This role will be placed on long term in country assignment at a supplier facility in Israel for up to 5 years.

 

Job Description:

The Lead Program Manager is responsible for managing the relationship and performance of a strategically significant supplier. This individual ensures alignment between internal program requirements and supplier deliverables, driving quality, cost, and schedule objectives while mitigating risks and ensuring compliance. This role works cross-functionally with key internal stakeholders and serves as the main interface with the supplier organization.

Essential Functions:

  • Serve as the primary point-of-contact for all matters related to the key supplier.
  • Oversee and manage all phases of the supplier's program lifecycle, from planning through execution and closure.
  • Monitor supplier performance, ensuring delivery on quality, schedule, and cost targets.
  • Facilitate regular meetings, business reviews, and milestone checks with the supplier.
  • Lead problem-solving efforts and corrective action planning for supplier-related issues.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering, procurement, quality, and legal teams to resolve issues and ensure contract compliance.
  • Manage risk identification, assessment, and mitigation planning as it relates to supplier performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives jointly with the supplier to achieve program goals.
  • Communicate program status, risks, and opportunities to Senior Leadership and key stakeholders.
  • May lead and mentor junior program managers or support staff involved in supplier oversight.

Qualifications:

  • Must Have an Active Secret Clearance, with ability to work Special Access Programs.
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. 
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) process.
  • Demonstrated experience briefing and presenting to internal/external stakeholders at varying levels, up to/including executive leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience managing subcontractors/suppliers to ensure compliance with contract, project schedule, and deliverables.
  • Demonstrated experience working as an "in country representative" with the ability to adapt and influence within local culture & customs.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience managing subcontractors responsible for developing military equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience with the program integrated master schedule (IMS), including data input/output and progress tracking on the program.
  • Experience managing programs within a DoD or Aerospace environment.
  • Understanding of customer procurement processes and government funding approval.
  • Program strategy and capture experience.
  • Experience leading cross functional teams and working across different business organizations and customer communities.
  • Experience in engineering or military operations.
  • Ability to fluently communicate in Hebrew a huge plus.
