WHAT WE'RE DOING
Join the EADGE-T team and help modernize an integrated air and missile defense and air battle management capability for the United Arab Emirates. As part of the EADGE-T UAE Tech Refresh, you'll support hardware modernization and foundational cybersecurity enhancements while helping deliver the next generation of this mission-critical system.
Working alongside an international customer, you'll help develop and deploy secure communications infrastructure supporting one of Lockheed Martin's premier international defense programs.
THE WORK
As a Level 3 Network Communications Engineer, you'll design, integrate, secure, and optimize high-performance communications networks supporting mission-critical air and missile defense operations.
Working with systems, software, cybersecurity, hardware, and integration teams, you'll help develop resilient network architectures, integrate enterprise infrastructure, troubleshoot complex network issues, and ensure secure, reliable communications across multiple security domains.
PLEASE NOTE
  • This position requires a government security clearance at the Secret level; you must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration.

  • This position is a full-time expatriate assignment based in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and is 100% onsite.

  • This position may require travel to customer locations throughout the UAE and occasional support for overnight or weekend integration and test activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the design and development of secure network architectures by decomposing system requirements into functional, logical, and physical network solutions.

  • Develop and implement network infrastructure solutions, including LAN/WAN architecture, firewall policies, IP addressing, Quality of Service (QoS), encryption, authentication, and network monitoring.

  • Install, configure, and integrate routers, switches, firewalls, and supporting infrastructure while ensuring compliance with applicable DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).

  • Optimize network performance through capacity planning, latency analysis, traffic engineering, and proactive troubleshooting using industry-standard monitoring and diagnostic tools.

  • Implement cybersecurity best practices, including Zero Trust principles, NIST 800-53 controls, firewall management, and network segmentation across multiple security domains.

  • Support network automation and configuration management using technologies such as Ansible, Python, SNMP, NETCONF, CLI tools, and scripting to improve deployment and operational efficiency.

  • Create technical documentation, network diagrams, and implementation procedures while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams and supporting knowledge sharing across the program.
