WHO YOU ARE
Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems Business Area is seeking an experienced System Administrator to support the Space fence radar operations site located at Sensor Site (SS) 1 on Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands. This is an Expat role to the Marshall Islands.
Tasking includes performing mission operations, computer maintenance and reconfiguration on Digital Processing Group and Mission Subsystem, managing communications equipment, network administration, information assurance, data recording/data management. Additional responsibilities may include cross-training with radar technicians to perform maintenance on array equipment, supplementing critical radar corrective maintenance actions/requirements. Successful candidate shall provide a continuous level of engineering services support at the Space Fence radar sensor site located on Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands, maintaining effective customer communications and relations. May provide onsite training of customer support personnel.
Additional duties and responsibilities include assisting in arranging for services of outside vendors; understanding the required supplies and repair parts needed to maintain radar system performance, including working with Logistics personnel to orders parts as needed. Supporting all trades in their related job duties. Responding to emergency maintenance requests as required. Performing a variety of work in the maintenance and repair of site equipment as needed, including peripheral and associated facility systems. Validation of technical maintenance work packages on site equipment to support technical manuals updates.
Applicants should be aware that there is limited medical care on the island. Applicant must be capable of working within a small group of highly motivated and trained professionals who provide facilities, radar, mechanical, electrical, IT and electronics support 24/7. The team environment is critical for mission support.
Most of these positions will be unaccompanied.

Standard Job Description: Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators. Duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
Basic Qualifications
Willing to expat for a multi-year assignment to Kwajalein, Marshall Islands
Must be willing to work night and weekends
Advanced working knowledge and skills associated with computer based maintenance related to digital processing systems/subsystems utilizing Linux, Microsoft, and/or other operating systems.
Comp TIA Security+ certification and demonstrated networking experience such as configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and implementing identity and access management controls or differentiating common account management practices, etc.
Must have an Interim Secret DoD security clearance prior to starting this position. Obtaining a Security Clearance requires US citizenship.
Desired Skills
Demonstrated experience with the management of electronic communications equipment.
Familiarity with Space Operations and/or Radar Operations in a military/civilian environment.
System Administration experience i.e., LINUX, Red Hat, Windows Active Directory.
Facility maintenance activities, electronic controls, electrical, IT and computer hardware a plus.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
