MANTECH seeks motivated, career and customer-oriented Maritime Specialists to join our team in Oahu, HI.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Leads the day-to-day command of maritime squads and commands water vessels in complex operational environments
  • Oversees the tracking of high-risk recovery platforms in theater and provide direct nautical oversight in expeditionary littoral settings
  • Ensures all lifesaving and survival equipment is mission-ready and validates nautical After-Action Reports to ensure tactical accuracy
  • Executes localized maritime casualty response missions and provides direct nautical oversight in expeditionary littoral settings
  • Executes the deployment of mobile maritime platforms and manage the execution of localized maritime casualty response missions
  • Provides leadership, guidance, and mentoring to subordinate staff and maintains primary accountability for the operational success of vessel crews

NOTE: Multiple levels of seniority are available based on qualifications and experience. Please see below.
Minimum Qualifications:
Senior Level
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
  • 10+ years of position-relevant experience
  • U.S. Coast Guard Mate's license
  • Current USCG MMC, STCW, CPR, AED
  • Expert knowledge of small to medium vessel operations
  • Advanced navigation skills in high-risk littoral environments

Mid-Level
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
  • 3+ years of position-relevant experience
  • U.S. Coast Guard Mate's license
  • Current USCG OUPV, STCW, CPR, AED
  • Proficiency drafting detailed nautical operating procedures and emergency checklists
  • Ability to deliver specialized training for vessel crews on maritime support systems
  • Knowledge of advanced maritime support systems
  • Technical aptitude to oversee equipment maintenance

Desired Qualifications:
Senior Level
  • Background in expeditionary maritime mission planning
  • Familiarity with USSOCOM-specific nautical sustainment and life support

Mid-Level
  • Proficiency in maritime navigation software
  • Experience with PACOM theater-specific maritime reporting and tracking
  • Focus on boat operations, maritime logistics, or sea-based recovery support activities
  • Experience evaluating novel marine technologies

Security Clearance Requirements:
  • Must possess active Secret clearance

Physical Requirements:
  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers via email, phone, and virtual communication which may involve delivering presentations
