Overview:
Quinnipiac University's School of Health Sciences invites applications for a full-time, open-rank, Clinical Faculty of Diagnostic Imaging and Program Director for the JRCERT accredited Radiologic Sciences program at the Department of Diagnostic Imaging. This 12-month appointment provides primary academic and administrative leadership for the program, ensuring program effectiveness, sufficient resources, and ongoing compliance with accreditation standards. Faculty rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. This is a 12-month position, and expected to begin in July 1, 2026
About the School/Program:
The School of Health Sciences is home to approximately 100 full-time faculty and professional staff and enrolls over 2120 students across over 20 graduate and undergraduate academic offerings. The school is organized into 8 departments offering undergraduate majors in biomedical sciences, health sciences, radiologic sciences, medical microbiology & Immunology and diagnostic medical sonography and graduate majors in physician assistant studies, occupational therapy, physical therapy, social work, biomedical sciences, pathologists' assistant and cardiovascular perfusion. Responsibilities:
  • Support the mission, vision, values, and strategic goals of Quinnipiac University and the School of Health Sciences, and the Department of Diagnostic Imaging
  • As required by JRCERT accreditation standards, the Program Director holds final authority and accountability for the Radiologic Sciences Program
  • Serve as the designated Program Director with authority over program planning, administration, assessment, and continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with JRCERT standards and applicable regulations; prepare and maintain accreditation documentation and required records
  • Oversee curriculum design, delivery, and evaluation aligned with professional standards; teach assigned didactic, laboratory, and/or clinical courses
  • Lead outcomes assessment, including student learning outcomes, credentialing exam pass rates, and job placement data
  • Retain final authority for ARRT eligibility verification
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to full- and part-time faculty in collaboration with the Department Chair
  • Ensure quality and sufficiency of clinical education and maintain relationships with clinical affiliates
  • Oversee program policies and processes related to admissions, progression, retention, discipline, student success, and accuracy of public-facing information
  • Coordinate course scheduling and instructional resources to support appropriate learning environments
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety regulations and promote a culture of safety
  • Collaborate on program budgeting and participate in advisory, service, and institutional events
  • Participate in student recruitment activities
  • Teach assigned classes offered by the Department of Diagnostic Imaging
  • Any other related duties assigned by the dean or his/her designee, and the department chair

Education Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a related field (e.g., Health Sciences, Education, Health Professions Education, Public Health, Healthcare Administration) from a Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) recognized institution
  • Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Radiography program

Qualifications:
  • Current ARRT certification and registration in Radiography, in good standing
  • Eligibility for Radiographer licensure in the State of Connecticut by the time of appointment
  • Minimum of three (3) years of full-time clinical radiography experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years of teaching experience in a JRCERT-accredited radiography program
  • Demonstrated expertise in curriculum design, instruction, assessment, and program administration
  • Experience with JRCERT accreditation and outcomes assessment
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and collaborative skills
  • Commitment to professionalism, ethical conduct, inclusivity, and confidentiality
  • Preferred qualifications include:
    • Doctoral degree earned (Ph.D., Ed.D., D.H.A., DHSc, or equivalent) in a related discipline
    • ARRT post-primary credential(s) (e.g., CT, MRI, Mammography)
    • Prior experience in academic program leadership or coordination
    • Experience with distance, hybrid, or alternative instructional modalities
    • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds
