CAM Engineer / CAD-CAM Engineer

Location: Winston-Salem, NC

Full-Time

Schedule:

Monday – Friday

Production and engineering schedule based on operational demands.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly technical CAM Engineer or CAD/CAM Engineer to support advanced

milling operations and manufacturing workflows within a growing dental milling center. This role

is focused heavily on CAM engineering, toolpath development, milling optimization, and

technical manufacturing problem-solving.

This position is ideal for candidates with strong industrial milling, medical manufacturing, or

advanced CAM workflow experience who enjoy working in highly technical production

environments.

This organization operates a high-volume milling environment specializing in implant

restorations, custom abutments, implant bars, and precision restorative manufacturing. The

The CAM Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring manufacturing precision, improving

toolpath efficiencies, troubleshooting milling challenges, and supporting overall production

scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

● Develop and optimize CAM workflows and milling strategies

● Create and manage toolpaths for advanced restorative manufacturing

● Troubleshoot milling and manufacturing issues

● Collaborate with CAD designers and production teams

● Support software configuration and machine optimization

● Assist with workflow automation and efficiency improvements

● Analyze production processes and identify operational enhancements

● Maintain precision standards and reproducibility across manufacturing workflows

● Support implementation of new technologies and digital manufacturing processes

● Assist with quality assurance and technical case review

Qualifications:


● Prior CAM engineering or advanced milling experience required

● Dental, medical manufacturing, or industrial milling experience preferred

● Proficiency in at least two of the following platforms:

○ Hyperdent

○ Millbox

○ Exocad

○ 3Shape

● Strong understanding of toolpath engineering and manufacturing workflows

● Experience with implant restorations and custom abutment manufacturing preferred

● Analytical and engineering-oriented mindset

● Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving abilities

● Ability to work collaboratively within a production-focused environment

● Portfolio and technical case examples required during interview process
