CAD/CAM Designer – Full Arch Designer - to work with Full Arch Team

Location: New York

Pay: $32.00–$40.00 per hour (DOE)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced CAD/CAM Full Arch Designer to join our growing dental laboratory team. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience designing full-arch implant restorations and is passionate about producing high-quality, esthetic, and functional restorations. This is a leadership role for someone who enjoys mentoring team members, improving workflows, and maintaining exceptional quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design full-arch implant restorations, including All-on-X and hybrid prostheses, using CAD software.
  • Design crowns, bridges, implant restorations, bars, and other complex restorative cases as needed.
  • Review digital scans and prescriptions for accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with clinicians and internal departments to ensure successful case outcomes.
  • Troubleshoot complex restorative cases and recommend design solutions.
  • Maintain high production quality while meeting turnaround times.
  • Lead and mentor CAD/CAM designers by providing technical guidance, training, and quality feedback.
  • Develop and improve digital workflows and standard operating procedures.
  • Perform quality control on completed designs before manufacturing.
  • Stay current with advancements in digital dentistry, implant systems, and CAD/CAM technologies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of CAD/CAM dental design experience, with a strong focus on full-arch implant restorations.
  • Advanced knowledge of digital dental workflows and implant prosthetics.
  • Experience with CAD software such as exocad, 3Shape Dental System, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of occlusion, esthetics, implant components, and restorative principles.
  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining exceptional quality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with multiple implant systems.
  • Familiarity with digital smile design and advanced implant workflows.
  • Lean manufacturing or process improvement experience is a plus.
