Job description

Join National Dentex - a leading healthcare organization specializing in the dental industry! We offer a full spectrum of specialized products, services, and technologies to address any dental restoration need. Currently, we have several labs throughout the country. We are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization including this Dental Lab Technician (Exocad Master Designer) opportunity at NDX Dynamic Dental Solutions in Jacksonville, FL. 

The regular hours for this position are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time. 

This is a full-time position featuring employee benefits including: health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance; paid holiday, vacation, and sick time; 401K with company contribution; and tuition reimbursement!  

Responsibilities:

  • CAD Design: Utilize Exocad software to create and design dental prosthetics based on dentist prescriptions and patient-specific needs.
  • Customization: Develop custom designs for various dental restorations, ensuring optimal fit, function, and aesthetics.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with dentists, dental technicians, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and iterate designs as necessary.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform quality checks and reviews to ensure the accuracy and precision of designs before final production.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to junior designers or colleagues on the Exocad software and dental design processes. 

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Exocad: Extensive experience and mastery of Exocad software for dental design. Work exclusively in full arch designs for nano-ceramics, acrylics, thimble bridges and zirconia hybrids. Experience working with photogrammetry and facial scans with the ability to stack images for optimal design. Experience creating smile design cases with form, function and aesthetics. Digital denture design experience would be a benefit but not required.
  • Dental Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of dental anatomy, occlusion, procedures, and materials with 5 years’ experience designing full arch cases.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to create accurate and high-quality designs with precise measurements and details.
  • Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to work effectively with different stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Capacity to troubleshoot and solve design-related issues effectively. Ability to identify problems and find solutions with unusual data sets or images.

Qualifications:

  • 10 years’ experience as a dental technician and 5 years’ experience in full arch design.
  • Proven experience in CAD design for dental prosthetics, ideally with certifications or additional training in Exocad.
