Job Title: Digital Dental Lab Manager / CAD-CAM Design Supervisor

Location: Southern California (On-site / Relocation Assistance Available)

Compensation: $110,000 – $145,000 Base Salary (DOE, negotiable for exceptional talent) + Comprehensive Benefits Package

About the Role

A premier Southern California dental laboratory is seeking an experienced, hands-on Digital Dental Lab Manager / CAD-CAM Design Supervisor to lead our digital production team. We are looking for an operational leader—not just a high-volume production designer—who can mentor CAD designers, optimize digital workflows, drive rigorous quality control, and confidently represent our lab to doctor-clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & System Development: Direct, mentor, and evaluate a team of CAD designers; implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to scale digital output and efficiency.
  • Advanced CAD/CAM Design: Hands-on design and oversight of complex cases, including multi-unit implant restorations, full-arch/All-on-X, custom abutments, and complex aesthetic cases.
  • Manufacturing & Quality Assurance: Oversee digital production equipment (3D printers, milling machines, scanners) and perform final technical QC to guarantee precise fit, function, and aesthetics.
  • Client Relations & Technical Support: Serve as a primary technical point of contact for doctors and prospective clients, offering clinical design consultations and case troubleshooting.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years in a supervisory or management role within a commercial dental laboratory.
  • Software Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Exocad, 3Shape, or both.
  • Clinical Expertise: Demonstrated mastery of full-arch/All-on-X restorations and complex implant prosthetics.
  • Communication: Exceptional professional English (written and verbal) for internal leadership and client-facing communication.
  • Location: Southern California-based preferred; nationwide candidates requiring relocation are strongly encouraged to apply.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $110,000 – $145,000 annually (commensurate with experience, with flexibility for elite candidates).
  • Relocation Package: Financial assistance and support provided for qualified out-of-area hires relocating to Southern California.
  • Health & Wellness: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance options.
  • Paid Time Off: Paid vacation, personal days, and company holidays.
  • Retirement Plan: 401(k) with company match/contributions.
  • Professional Development: Ongoing training, certification opportunities, and lab technology upgrades.
