About Guardian Fueling Technologies:
Guardian Fueling Technologies is a world-class petroleum equipment distributor, fuel systems construction contractor and innovative service provider. We're proud to self-perform all our work and be a distributor for best-in-class PEI Manufacturers.
Summary/objective:
The Project Manager will join the Guardian team in order to ensure smooth operations of various installation/construction projects.
Responsibilities:
Oversee installation of equipment in accordance with federal, state and company policies and regulations - installing new dispensers, installing new pipes and fixing leaking pipes, cutting thread-bare pipes, installing new spill buckets, replacing dispensers and sump boots, and working with concrete. Communication and daily interaction with customers, vendors, sub-contractors, local and state regulatory agencies is required. Project Manager will need to monitor for any safety issues and correct any issues while still striving to complete the project on time. Project Manager will direct and develop foremen, while also establishing, developing and maintaining comprehensive construction options and client-base. This position will implement the company's policies and procedures, support internal and external marketing plans to increase revenues and profits and ensure the highest quality of customer service is provided.
  • Serve as a liaison between Company, subcontractors, and construction teams on basic project issues.
  • Review plans and prepare or review technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates.
  • Maintain close relationships with clients to resolve all project questions, such as, but not limited to, technical requirements, completion requirements and billing inquiries.
  • Review with manager all project changes, pending or anticipated alterations to the contract, additional work requests, and all other factors, which may significantly affect staffing requirements or budget.
  • Supervise work of project personnel to ensure that it meets the highest professional standards.
  • Coordinate with other internal departments to meet project requirements.
  • Define the scope of assigned projects and develop plan to accomplish projects. Monitor progress toward deliverable schedules. Compile project status reports.
  • Review job cost sheets and assist with preparation of monthly billings. Ensure assigned projects stay within budget allocation.
  • Assist manager in securing repeat business from existing clients and identifying new clients.

Requirements
Required Education and Experience:
  • A minimum of a high school diploma/GED required. College degree preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment is required.
  • Skilled in providing excellent customer relations by exchanging information with courtesy and consideration.
  • Ability to exhibit a professional demeanor, and develop customer relations and superior service.
  • Ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal) with all levels of an organization internally and externally.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and understand necessary service and training manuals.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
  • Ability to understand and follow and convey verbal and/or demonstrated instructions.
  • Ability to maintain a good understanding of industry innovations and product availability in order to make recommendations based on customer needs.
  • Ability to safely operate personal hand tools.
  • Ability to draw upon available support resources from within the company and recognize when it is appropriate to do such.
  • Must have experience in the installation and operation of Petroleum Handling Equipment
  • Such other knowledge, skills, and abilities as are necessary in connection with additionally assigned duties.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position regularly works in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Regional travel with occasional overnight stays are expected for this position.
