About the role
Health Fitness Professional - Indianapolis, IN
On-call / substitute, working on an as-needed basis
HealthFitness is looking for a Health Fitness Professional to join the fitness team at our corporate client site located in Indianapolis, IN. In this role, you will make a direct impact on the health and well-being of our members through the coordination, implementation, and delivery of health and fitness improvement programs and services, fitness center promotions and outreach activities. You will provide group exercise instruction and monitor fitness facility.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Supervises facility; interacts with participants and monitors equipment and participant safety.
  • Provides group exercise instruction; educates participants on proper techniques to maximize exercise safety and effectiveness.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science, Health Promotion, Kinesiology or related discipline OR 2 years related experience plus a Group Fitness Instructor certification.
  • Adult CPR/AED and First Aid certification from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, National Safety Council, or American Safety & Health Institute required within 30 days of start date.
  • Group Exercise instructor certification from ACE, AFAA or other nationally accredited specialty class certification strongly preferred.

Compensation: $14 - $17/hour. Pay is dependent on experience and qualifications.
