Clearance Required: TS/SCI with Polygraph
Full-Time | Fully Funded | $200K - $220K | 40 Hours/Week

Helm Point Solutions is a woman-owned cybersecurity and physical security firm supporting the nation's most critical systems and infrastructure.

We are supporting a fully funded, mission-critical program in the Ft. Meade area and are seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer to help build and maintain a large-scale enterprise system used by the U.S. Intelligence Community. This role offers long-term stability, technically challenging work, and the opportunity to work alongside elite engineering teams supporting national security missions.

This is not a maintenance role. Engineers on this team are responsible for designing, building, testing, and deploying new capabilities in an Agile, DevOps-driven environment.

What You'll Do
In this role, you will:

  • Design and develop enterprise Java applications using Spring and modern frameworks

  • Build and maintain RESTful web services and backend business logic

  • Develop automated unit, integration, and behavior-driven tests

  • Work in a SAFe/Agile environment with sprint planning, PI planning, and daily stand-ups

  • Collaborate with engineers, testers, and system architects to deliver high-quality software

  • Support deployments to test and production environments using CI/CD pipelines

What You Bring
Required Qualifications:

  • Strong, professional experience with Java

  • Experience with Spring (Spring Boot, Spring Data, or related frameworks)

  • Experience with enterprise Java technologies such as JPA, Hibernate, or Java EE

  • Experience building or consuming RESTful web services

  • Experience working with relational or NoSQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar)

  • Experience with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit or Mockito

  • Experience working in an Agile environment

  • Experience using source control tools such as Git
