Job description

Role:-Java Software Engineer
Location:-100% Remote
Duration:-Long term Project
Required /Desired Skills:
  • Java Skills - recent version
  • SNMP
  • Software Modules
  • Frequency Converter experience preferred
  • MIB File
  • Block Converters
  • Satellite communication systems background a plus

Job Description:
  • Development of SNMP V1 interface software module
  • Modification of existing software to support current features
  • Project to be written in Java that uses SNMP library
  • SW Interfacing
  • Log tasks software module for an embedded computer
  • SNMP fields need to be implemented to match a specification MIB file (existing base MIB file can be used as a starting point)
  • Compare files and use Block Converter for required additional features that must be implemented
  • The developed software must be provided in the form of well-documented source code in a computer compatible format, with run-time libraries and executable files
  • Provide documentation, an electronic copy of all documents describing SDLC (software development cycle), including user, maintenance, and operation manuals
  • Create a slide deck for customer review, RE: deliverables schedule and progress, software design description, test verification plan, any testing performed to-date with results, any issues and actions to resolve problems and maintain schedule
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Work in collaboration with engineering team to complete project
  • Report to VP of Engineering
  • Must pass a background check and sign an NDA
