About this Job Position Title Testing Center Specialist Location Gonzales Campus Job Type Part-time Appointment Appointed by the Chancellor of the College upon recommendation of the Vice Chancellor of Strategic Initiatives and Executive Director of Workforce Reporting Line The Testing Center Specialist is a professional staff member who reports to the Assessment Center Coordinator. This role collaborates with other RPCC Testing Proctors, RPCC faculty and staff, the Executive Director of Workforce, and other college personnel. Position Summary The Testing Center Specialist supports the Testing Center in data entry, proctoring, and coordinating assessment and testing services across all campuses and off-site projects.

The Testing Center Proctor is responsible for overseeing and administering exams in a secure, professional, and distraction-free environment across multiple testing sites. This role requires strict adherence to testing protocols, attention to detail, and strong customer service skills to assist test candidates efficiently. The proctor must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain assessment integrity, and work effectively in a fast-paced setting.

Additionally, the proctor ensures compliance with institutional, state, and national testing regulations while maintaining operational readiness for all testing locations. No Civil Service test score or assessmentis required to be considered for this vacancy. The pay for the position is $15.00 per hour

Preferred Education and Experience: Associate's Degree 3 years of testing services, proctoring, or customer service experience

Job Duties and Other Information Key Duties and Responsibilities 25% Test Administration & Security: Ensure strict adherence to all testing policies, procedures, and security measures. Verify candidate identification and check-in processes to confirm eligibility. Monitor test sessions to prevent academic dishonesty and rule violations.

Maintain strict security and inventory of test materials, including chain of custody management for various test formats. Handle test materials securely, including distributing, collecting, and returning test documents as required. Secure logins, passwords, and access to online testing systems to prevent unauthorized use.

Monitor testing rooms to uphold security and conduct standards at all times. Collaborate with technical support to troubleshoot and resolve IT-related issues during test sessions. Maintain equipment and technology to ensure operational readiness for all testing environments.

25% Customer Service & Candidate Support: Provide clear instructions to test candidates before, during, and after exams. Assist candidates with disabilities or accommodations in compliance with approved guidelines. Respond professionally to candidate inquiries while maintaining a neutral and fair testing environment.

Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, and external stakeholders. 25% Operations & Multi-Site Coordination: Travel between multiple testing locations as needed to support operations. Maintain a structured and organized testing environment across all sites.

Accurately document irregularities and submit incident reports when required. Maintain and enhance assessment services across all campuses by ensuring consistency in procedures and compliance. Assist with data entry for assessment purposes to support institutional reporting.

Develop and supervise the RPCC Workforce Testing Monitor, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance. Collaborate with departments and faculty to facilitate external assessment processes. 20% Compliance & Professionalism: Maintain confidentiality of test materials and candidate information at all times.

Ensure compliance with institutional, state, and national testing regulations, policies, and standards. Prepare and submit required reports on testing activity, security incidents, and compliance. Attend training sessions to stay current on proctoring requirements and uphold testing program quality.

Maintain documentation and adhere to testing guidelines set forth by Louisiana. 5% Other duties as assigned.
